Roommates, as the 2020 election finally nears its end, one of the biggest surprises to come from the campaign trail is Kanye West officially entering the race. Kanye shared via Twitter that not only did he vote for the very first time ever—but he also casted his ballot for himself.
Although Kanye West missed or didn’t qualify to have his name on the official voting ballot in most states, that doesn’t mean fans (and Kanye himself) still can’t vote for him anyway. Earlier in the day, Ye posted a message about using the opportunity to vote for the first time as the perfect moment to vote for himself.
Kanye tweeted:
“God is so good. Today I am voting for the first time in my life for the President of the United States, and it’s for someone I truly trust…me. We will heal. We will cure.”
Later, he posted a video of himself voting and writing his name on the ballot. “KEEP BELIEVING KANYE 2020,” he wrote as he filmed his ballot, which includes a write-in vote for Kanye West as President and Michelle Tidball as Vice-President. He continued adding “Thank you Jesus Christ.”
Kanye continued with another video, submitting his ballot and showing that it was officially counted. “The first vote of my life. We are here to serve. We pray for every servant leader in the world,” he added.
He finally finished his posts with pictures of himself actually writing in his name, as well as another of him casting the vote, and one more of him with his “I Voted” sticker.
