TSR Exclusive: Ne-Yo & Crystal Smith Detail Their Marriage Proposal That Almost Went Wrong After A Friend Offered To Assist– “It Was About To Get Physical” (Video)

It’s safe to say that #NeYo and #CrystalSmith are the two people who are considered the ‘comeback’ couple of 2020. After Ne-Yo filed for divorce, earlier this year, the couple eventually decided to work on their marriage, and it seems all is well
In an exclusive clip of @owntv’s #BehindEveryMan obtained by #TheShadeRoom, the couple details their marriage proposal that almost went wrong. Ne-Yo reached out to one of Crystal’s homegirls, seeking assistance for the occasion and things were a bit awkward, at first.
In the clip, Ne-Yo says,
“It was a homegirl of hers that knew the jewelers that I got the ring from. Her homegirl was like, ‘I’ll come and get the ring to you. She won’t see me, she won’t know.’ Alright cool! So, she shows up but she knocks on the door.”
Chile, not knowing who was at the door, Crystal answered and wasn’t here for the cheap balloons, “I answer the door and it’s an acquaintance. Not that I’m bougie but she showed up with some dollar store balloons and a card. 
After hearing Ne-Yo paid for the flight and a room, Crystal thought something strange between Ne-Yo and the friend was going on. She was so caught off guard that “it was about to get physical,” Crystal stated.
Luckily, Ne-yo jumped in and popped the question. Crystal went from worrying about her acquaintance to wondering why Ne-Yo didn’t at least tell her to get her nails done before their proposal.
