Later this week (August 15th), Prime Video will release the outrageous action-comedy JACKPOT! Ahead of it coming out, the streamer shared some new clips and images from the film. Click inside to check them out!
In the near future, a ‘Grand Lottery’ has been newly established in California – the catch: kill the winner before sundown to legally claim their multi-billion dollar jackpot. When Katie Kim moves to Los Angeles, she mistakenly finds herself with the winning ticket. Desperate to survive the hordes of jackpot hunters, she reluctantly joins forces with amateur lottery protection agent Noel Cassidy, who will do everything in his power to get her to sundown in exchange for a piece of her prize. However, Noel must face off with his slick rival Louis Lewis, who also seeks to collect Katie’s commission at all costs.
JACKPOT! stars Awkwafina (Ocean’s 8, Crazy Rich Asians, Jumanji: The Next Level), John Cena (F9, The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker), Ayden Mayeri, Donald Elise Watkins, Sam Asghari (Black Monday, Hacks, The Family Business), Murray Hill, Colson Baker (mgk) and Simu Liu (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Barbie).
The film was written by Rob Yescombe and directed by the legendary Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, The Heat, Spy). Feig, Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum and Laura Fischer produced the film while Yescombe, Michelle Morrissey, Zack Roth and Cena served as executive producers.
Speaking of John Cena, tomorrow (August 13th), he will take part in a first-of-its-kind official collaboration with Whatnot – the largest live stream shopping platform in the US and Europe–bringing official JACKPOT! film props, signed film merch and surprise giveaways to fans and this passionate community. Joined by top creator and Whatnot seller ‘Mystic7‘, Cena will hawk treasure and junk alike, auctioning whatever is in arm’s reach to raise awareness for JACKPOT!’s launch on Prime Video on August 15, and raise money for Make-a-Wish! – Join the fun at 5:30pm PT, only on Whatnot.
