We’re just a little over a week away from the release of the upcoming action thriller The Accountant 2. The cast and filmmakers of the 2016 sequel got together at the TCL Chinese Theatre in the Hollywood section of Los Angeles, California on Wednesday (April 16th) to celebrate the film’s premiere. The Accountant 2 brings forth the return of Christian Wolff (played by Ben Affleck), who has a talent for solving complex problems. When an old acquaintance is murdered, leaving behind a cryptic message to “find the accountant,” Wolff is compelled to solve the case. Realizing more extreme measures are necessary, Wolff recruits his estranged and highly lethal brother, Braxton, to help. In partnership with U.S. Treasury Deputy Director Marybeth Medina, they uncover a deadly conspiracy, becoming targets of a ruthless network of killers who will stop at nothing to keep their secrets buried.
Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, The Punisher, The Bear), Cynthia Addai-Robinson (Colombiana, Arrow, Shooter, Power), and J.K. Simmons (Law & Order, Spider-Man trilogy, Burn After Reading, Justice League) return to reprise their characters from the first film. They are joined by Daniella Pineda (The Detour, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Jurassic World Dominion), Allison Robertson, Robert Morgan (Babylon) and Grant Harvey (Animal Kingdom).
The film 2 was written by Bill Dubuque, with Gavin O’Connor directing. Affleck, Lynette Howell Taylor and Mark Williams took on producer responsibilities. Many of the film’s contributors were in attendance for the epic night.
