Roommates, although Ice Cube seems to be over the widespread criticism he’s received after meeting with the Trump administration about its proposed Platinum Plan, Roland Martin is not letting up on calling him out. Roland let Ice Cube know via social media that he got completely “played” by Trump and that the Platinum Plan isn’t what he actually thinks it is.
Ice Cube is apparently still in his feelings over the massive backlash he received after aligning himself with Donald Trump’s re-election campaign. In a post on his Twitter account, Ice Cube slammed his critics with a tweet that prompted Roland Martin to publicly call him out.
Ice Cube tweeted:
“Let me get this straight, I get the president of the United States to agree to put over half a trillion dollars of capital in the Black Community (without an endorsement) and N***as are mad at me?…have a nice life.”
The tweet prompted Roland Martin to hit him with the truth and explain to Ice Cube that he got effectively “played” by Trump for believing in the so-called Platinum Plan.
Roland tweeted:
“The only problem @icecube is that you didn’t get Trump to put $500 billion of capital in Black communities. It’s a lie. It’s ONE LINE on the cover sheet of his so-called Platinum Plan. No specifics. NOTHING. Bruh, you got played. Why do I know you got played @icecube? I’ve talked to numerous Black Republicans who currently work with the administration and THEY said the $500 billion “commitment” is a joke. You’re just wrong, bruh.”
Adding to the irony, Ice Cube’s tweet was posted just as polling suggested that Joe Biden was on the verge of winning the presidential election, which would make any of Trump’s plans completely useless and invalid.
