The 2020 presidential election has been one of the most anticipated events to date. With Trump tweeting baseless claims of election fraud and filing lawsuits, it appears the saga still continues.
But it may all come to an end, as federal officials have found little to no evidence of voter fraud.
According to CBS News, the federal election infrastructure officials released a statement on Thursday that debunks Trump’s claims—The 2020 election was the “most secure in American history.”
“There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes or was in any way compromised,” the statement said.
The statement went on to say that if there are legitimate problems to be found, they will not go without consequence.
Officials also noted that if there are any problems to be found, they will not go without consequence.
“And if there are legitimate problems to be found, they will be,” the coalition declared. Its statement said that all of the states with close results have paper records, which allow for the recounting of each ballot, if necessary, and for “the identification and correction of any mistakes or errors. … Right now, across the country, election officials are reviewing and double checking the entire election process prior to finalizing the result.”
CBS News reports that high-ranking Republicans should be briefed on the affairs of America.
“I just don’t know of any justification for withholding the briefing,” he said, adding that if Mr. Biden “does win in the end, I think they need to be able to hit the ground running.”
And, that’s that!
